Hustle Tip of the Week: Equal

            I had a friend when I was growing up named Calvin.  Back then everything we did was dirty from drugs to merchandise we either had it or could get it within’ 3 days.  We all were pretty much professional crooks.  We had burn-out phones and would get rental cars so the police couldn’t keep up with us.  Pretty much we were real get it boys.  We barely fooled with Calvin cause he was certified crazy.  We thought Calvin would get us caught one day so we use to stay away from him.  Calvin was an equal opportunity hater.  He would slap a big dude the same way he would slap a little dude.  Now it’s some people in your life that you just know are so fucked up that you will never learn a thing from them.  I was surprised the day I learned from Calvin.  I met Calvin one day to get some playstations to sell and he told me “Chip (Me) people think I’m crazy, but I ain’t crazy.  How the hell am I crazy and I’m the same every time you see me.  What’s crazy is how niggas be acting different when certain niggas come around.”  I learned that day that in Calvin’s eyes no person is better than the other.  I’m no better than the dude that just got out of jail with 3 felonies, only difference is I didn’t get caught.  Thank God for grace and mercy cause I should be in jail til’ 2030.  You say your friend is a hoe, but you don’t speak on that one thing you did that was kind of hoe-ish cause if you did you couldn’t put her down anymore.  You can dislike how your friend is stupid over men, yet yo ass is with a dude that’s missing all the time.  You can talk about bums and how they need a job, but your broke til’ payday and two checks away from being under the bridge with them.  You say your a better man then him yet your child ain't seen you since the day they were born.  We point out everyone else’s issues and act like ours don’t exist.

I just came upon your site through watching one of your youtube vidoes that my friend sent me. Wow! You have been doing this for a long time and Im mad because of all the good info that I have been missing out on by not knowing about you. Keep doing your thing brotha!!!!!!! Oh and regarding the post, yes, its so true!! People will try to point out the splinter in your eye while ignoring the log in theirs. I cant lie though I am guilty of it to. It is a way for people to feel better about their own crappy situations. However, at the end of the day it doesnt help to solve anything. We must learn to be ohonest about and deal with our drama and use our experiences to help others. At the end of the day we are all human and we make mistakes. Those who try to act like their life is perfect are the ones with the most screwed up situations!!!

Someone sent me the link for "If you're not married, you're single" and I died laughing! Not that what you're saying is funny, but so true you gotta laugh...I don't know ANY women who couldn't identify with at least one part of your blog. Especially when it comes to doing the MOST. But this is what you failed to mention (or recognize because, duh, you speak and act from a man's point of view)--women do the MOST because this is what were emotionally and psychologically conditioned and trained in. If we do XYZ, be it cooking, cleaning, sex, whatever, this is how we will win the man. It's a terrible untruth that I found out the hard way, but it is a pure myth that is somehow being presented as a reality. But Lewis, you are mad interesting, so I'll definitely check back in! Hey Bridget...I just read your comment about "doing the most" and i totally get what you are saying, but I gotta disagree for the simple fact, when we were taught to do those things...we weren't taught to PLAY house...most people that I know who were taught to do those things, it was implied that these things should be done for a husband...not just a boyfriend. My mother did not teach me to cook ful course meals for dudes who weren't trying to commit to me...yet I did it anyway...most mothers dont teach you to let men move in with u before marriage...as a matter of fact, my mom always told me that if a man really loved me, he wouldnt try to shack up with me or move in with me...my mom didnt condition me to do any of the things he mentioned in the video to dudes who were just a boyfriend...im sure many women's mothers didn't either...but we still bow down to do those things, its personal...just like our mothers tried to get us not to have sex before marriage...so how did we end up losing our virginity in our teenage years? Were we conditioned to do that too? Its all about choices...

Very very helpful , most women (I'm one of them) believe what they want to believe about the man they want we live in our own little world ignoring the obvious . I wish I had the nerve to show my dad- all my life we all had to hear him run everyone else down (in the pulpit, mostly) while he stepped out on my mom every night. He has so many outside kids it's ridiculous! Now he's 73 year old- mad at the world cuz he can't run the streets like he used to! Oh, and did I mention my mom stayed with him the whole time!!
